We are a combination of Parents and Grandparents with a combined total of several hundred parenting
years between us who share a delight in the power of the spoken word and a belief in quality education.

What is an MP3?
MP3 strictly refers to a “Lossy Compression Algorithm”, which was jointly developed by Philips, CCETT
(Centre commun d'études de télévision et télécommunications), IRT and Fraunhofer Society, and was
made an ISO/IEC standard in 1991.
For the rest of us non teckies it means a standard sound file that all computers can play and can be
burned on to a CD.

What DRM system do you use?
DRM (Digital Rights Management) is a very contentious topic, where publishers try to limit the number of
copies of a file which users can make. We don’t use one and rely on people’s common sense to apply
the “fair use” principle.

How can I trust you with my credit card details?
You don’t have to. We use Paypal for verifying payment and never see or store or handle anybody’s
credit card details. (We have enough problems with our own credit cards!)

No. You can either do a once off transaction or sign up with Paypal instantly. The choice is yours.

Can you recommend an MP3 player?
There are so many different MP3 players coming out each week that we find it hard to keep track of
what is available but there are many other websites which keep track of this for you such as: CNET
MP3.com or Anything But Ipod

What happens when I click buy?
When you checkout with our shopping cart, you need to use Paypal for payment. Then you will
automatically receive an e-mail with a link to a secure webserver to download your new audio file in MP3
format.
